Crossroads is a busy organisation and this is an outline of many of the activities which we are regularly engaged in, in both the Gorbals and Govanhill projects.

Those involved have various skills in alterations, quilting, jewellery and tapestry but are keen to learn and try new crafts. If you have an interest in learning a new skill or sharing your own skills, come along to our Friendship Group.

Tuesday Evening Drop-In

The oldest stand-alone community space for Slovak and Czech Roma in the local area. The typical attendees are a ‘cross-generational group of people from each stage of life’, from new-borns and toddlers, to teenagers, adults and older people. Asset based activities, such as cooking, or the hosting of a special agency, are organised on alternating weeks.

Come along if you would like to get advice from agencies around money and housing issues. There are also activities for younger ones, hot drinks and sandwiches.

Creative Writing

The group is a place where people can meet and express themselves creatively through different forms; short stories, poetry, politics, news articles, plays and personal stories. You will often find the group sharing amazing stories, debating or laughing hysterically. The group is open for all to come along and express yourself. Hope to see you there!
